Unusable

Every time I attempt to connect this to my CDR 855 Camera, the camera locks up. It requires a hard reset using the reset button. Hope there is a fix coming up soon. The blue tooth was the reason I bought the dash cam.

Caught local squad car immediately

Had just installed a pair of new SPX 7800BT units. While connecting 2nd unit a squad car pulled up down the block to set up a speed trap. The radar was not pointed directly at us and was down the street about 1000ft. The first unit I had finished setting up reported a Ka radar hit and the iRadar app reported it to the cloud. As I finished the 2nd setup, the newest unit updated and alerted that the first unit had seen a threat. Flawless and accurate the SPX 7800BT along with the iRadar app performed admirably right out of the box. Since then weve seen alerts from other users as well. Well done!

iPhone 6 compatible ?

When I bought thinking it said iOS devices so I thought it would work with any but if you can work on having the newer models phones work that would be sweet!! Thanks

iPhone 6 support

Ive owned this product for 2yrs now. I recently upgraded my phone to the iPhone 6s and now the phone cannot connect w/ the radar. Please fix this.

Works most of the tim

For me it works on Iphone 6s and Apple Watch but it does a mediocre job with sound settings and gets some false alerts. Furthermore, is there a way to delete user reports as there are many where reports where the cops are only present once or twice a month and with so many reports it constantly beeps, but sometimes the sound is off for no reason and cannot be manually turned on again. Any ideas?

Needs CarPlay

Works well, paired easily with my iRadar unit. But if there was ever an app that would benefit from display on the CarPlay screen, its this one!

Thoughts after a year

Update 4/9/16 - completely useless to me now. Upgrades to iPhone 6s+ and the unit will NOT recognize that its paired via the iradar app. Contacted customer support - NO HELP! App NEEDS SERIOUS UPDATE for newer phones! The unit works as advertised, however there are some issues that all user should be aware of. I have been using this with the iradar 950 Pros: 1) Shared user location reports work 2) camera database accurate 3) map database, and traffic option accurate and work well. 4) Power adapter has a USB port to also charge the phone (rapid charger as well 1 amp) 5) A low voltage detection mode that works, so it doesnt drain the car battery or need to be continuously unplugged/re-plugged wearing out your power adapter Cons: 1) (this is a BIG ISSUE FOR ME) NO NIGHT MODE, for map or dashboard!!! WHAT!?!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! 2) The app occasionally asks me to register and pay to do location sharing, however if you buy the detector this is supposed to be free for life! 3) The silent drive option used to work, no longer does. This was a tremendously useful option for city driving. Please bring back this feature for the iradar 950 4) sometimes the reporting feature bugs, and the app needs to be reset as it continuously keep saying thank you, thank you, thank you... 5) the silence option mutes the CURRENT DECTED signal only, once that signal is NO LONGER detected IT squawks through its speaker again. This leads to scenarios were you frequently are having to hit the silence button over and over... this is aggravating… If I press the mute it should stay muted for all signals for say 60 seconds or a configurable time. Most modern radars operate with pulses… So they are no longer constantly sending a signal. At least this is the case in my state. 6) there is not an option for GPS A tracking (cellular) a as opposed to using the dedicated GPS chip. This continuously drains cell phone battery at a much accelerated rate compared to GPS A tracking. 7) Poor customer service. If you purchase this device just expect poor customer service… They took three weeks to get back to me on a an issue and it never got resolved through their customer support. I found the answers via the web. 8) serious lack of software updates. 9) serious lack of firmware updates for the supported devices. Overall Im ok with the device, but some of these glaring problems have actually made it so I have been using the supporting app less and less. This is a shame as they seem to of taken a bit of time to get this working… If they could just turn around their customer service and support this app and for more better… That would make all the change. Many people have suggested the night mode and I have never seen it activated any year… Clearly theyre not listing to customer feedback. I have been looking at all their solutions to see what else is out, and based on some feedback Ive gotten elsewhere I will probably be switching providers.
